Pay Attention:  Live your life in the present moment. It is the only place anything real is happening. The past is memories. The future is imagination.

Take Responsibility:  This is your life, take it back, own it, make it yours. Either you get to own it, or you get to blame someone or something else for it. This is the difference between being a warrior or a slave. Choose.

Right Speech:  Words can help or harm. Abstain from lies or exaggerations. Avoid speaking negatively about others. Always seek to speak the truth.

No Disrespect:  It’s very bad for one’s self esteem to accept abuse from others. Respect yourself and who you are. Stand up to your tyrants, both internal and external. The cost is too great not to.

Do It Anyway:  Don’t take the easy way out. Hard choices build our strength and our integrity. They make the difference between a life of excellence and a life of mediocrity.

Don’t Quit:  Look at what stops you, and where you give up trying. There you will find the edge between becoming a warrior or a slave.

Keep Your Promises:  A warrior is true to their word. The way we build trust in ourselves and others is by making and keeping agreements.

Being a warrior is building the future you want by acting with resolve in the present moment. Being a warrior is when you stop complaining and making excuses, and start taking charge of your life. Being a warrior is choosing the right path forward even if it is difficult, and then taking responsibility for your actions. Being a warrior means standing back up and trying again when you fail.

Be a warrior – not a slave.

Your actions will define your choice.
